We are a well-established, high-performing general dental practice in the Balboa Park area, looking for a fabulous RDA to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients in the dental office
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Answer phones and schedule patients
- Dental insurance verification
- Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
- Take vital signs and accurately record medical history
- Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
- Assist dentist during procedures and exams
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
- Schedule appointments
Qualifications
- A team player willing to put energy into contributing to the practice
- Energetic, authentic, and have a passion for dentistry and serving patients
- Effective in educating patients about their oral health care
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) state licensure
- Comfortable with technology and proficient with Dentrix
- Trustworthy and can build rapport with patients and make them feel comfortable and welcome
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a dental office.
- Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care
Compensation: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
